"The House of Glass", produite par Cohan et Harris, a ouvert au Candler Theatre de Broadway (l'actuel Sam H. Harris Theatre) le 1er septembre 1915 et s'est jouée 245 représentations. Mary Ryan figurait dans la distribution. Max Marcin était l’auteur original de la pièce mais elle a été réécrite par Cohan, qui en a partagé la paternité. C’était un mélodrame.
Il s'agit de l'histoire d'une jeune femme faussement impliquée dans un crime. Au lieu de blanchir son nom, elle a pris une nouvelle identité et une nouvelle vie, pour ne plus être hantée par son passé….
